French-Canadian baritone Laurent Deleuil made his debut at the Opéra National du Rhin, during his time in the opera studio, with the title role of Britten's Owen Wingrave. He then settled in Paris to take part in the Académie de l'Opéra Comique, where he sang in the children's versions of Delibes's Lakmé and Lecocq's Ali-Baba (roles of Frédéric and Ali Baba), as well as in recitals of French mélodies.

He has recently appeared at Opéra de Tours (Mars in Orphée aux Enfers), Opéra de Rouen (Pang in Turandot), La Passerelle Scène Nationale de Saint-Brieuc (Le Dancaïre and Moralès in Carmen) and the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord (Papageno in The Magic Flute). He has also performed Bobinet in La Vie Parisienne (Théâtre des Champs-Élysées); le Guerrier in David et Jonathas (Opéra Royal de Versailles); the Roi de Castille in Antonio Sacchini's rarely performed opera Chimène ou le Cid with Le Concert de la Loge; the English Clerk in Britten's Death in Venice (Opéra National du Rhin); the title role in Pascal Zavaro's opera le Coq Maurice (Festival de Saint-Céré) and Hamlet (Musica Nigella Festival); Sam in Trouble in Tahiti (Théâtre de l'Athénée); and the role of Tircis in Les Amants Magnifiques with Le Concert Spirituel. Active on the concert scene, he performed at the Maison symphonique de Montréal (Carmina Burana), at the Prinzregententheater in Munich (Ô mon bel inconnu), on tour with Les Musiciens du Louvre (Une Soirée chez Offenbach), at the Flâneries de Reims and the Festival de Glanum, and on the international tour of Pierre-Yves Macé and Joris Lacoste's Suite no3. He regularly collaborates with pianist Nicolas Royez, and their album Le Travail du peintre, released in 2020, was acclaimed by critics. Also worth noting is the 2024 release of the recording of Werther with the Hungarian National Orchestra (Palazzetto Bru Zane label), in which he sings the role of Johann.

Laurent Deleuil holds a master's degree in opera from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, which he completed after a first master's degree in piano from the Université de Montréal. He is a prizewinner of several national and international competitions, including the Prix d'Europe (Montréal, 2010), the Concours international de Marmande (2014) and the Concours international de mélodie française de Toulouse (Francis Poulenc Prize, 2015), and was named a Génération Spedidam artist (2018) and a Jeune Ambassadeur Lyrique (2020). Upcoming engagements include Nicolas Isouard's Cendrillon (role of Alidor) with the Arion orchestra at the Salle Bourgie in Montréal; the Benjamin Attahir and Olivier Dhénin Huu’s new opera Légendes at the Théâtre Marigny (roles of Dinh Bo Linh and the Fisherman); Reynaldo Hahn's La Carmélite (role of le Poète) at the MÜPA in Budapest; and Charles Gounod's Roméo et Juliette (role of Gregorio) at the Zénith d'Orléans.
